Surgery
At the Skin Clinic we perform surgery on many types of skin conditions including skin cancer, epidermal inclusion cysts, lipomas, and moles. Many of these procedures are done in the office under local anesthesia. For more sensitive cases Southern Oklahoma Surgery Center in Ardmore is also available. Dr. McCauley is trained in Mohs Micrographic surgery.

What is mohs surgery?
Caught early, skin cancer is easy to cure and with the Mohs procedure, the results are greatly enhanced.
The Mohs technique of checking tissue under the microscope during surgery for the presence of cancer minimizes the amount of normal tissue removed, which lessens the amount of scarring or other potentially cosmetically damaging side effects.
In most cases, Mohs’ Micrographic Skin Cancer Surgery is the treatment of choice for large cancers, hard-to-define cancers and cosmetically sensitive cancers such as those on the face, the lips, the eyelids or the ears.
Dr. McCauley possess advanced training and extensive experience in the Mohs surgical procedure. Upon diagnosis , he will determine which removal technique is best for your skin cancer treatment.
